NOESIS:- THE TECHNICAL QUIZ
CONTEST RULES:-
1) This event will be held separately for E. C. E. and C. S. E. participants.
2) Each TEAM shall consist of TWO MEMBERS.
3) The contest will be of TWO LEVELS
a) Elementary Round
b) Final Round
DETAILS OF EACH LEVEL:-
(a) ELEMENTARY ROUND:-
In this level, the questions asked will be of a basic level, and will be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions.
SCORING:-
(a) Direct Question:-
A Team is awarded 4 POINTS for a RIGHT ANSWER on a direct question.
(b) Passed Question:-
When one team is unable to answer the question correctly, the question shall be passed to the next team. This will be done only twice per question.
A Team is awarded 2 POINTS for a RIGHT ANSWER on a passed question.
However, there is a 50% NEGATIVE MARKING for a WRONG ANSWER.
(b) FINAL ROUND:-
In this round, the selected teams will have to answer questions of a more complex nature, designed to test the understanding of the subject. Here, the questions will not be accompanied by options from which to choose the answer.
SCORING:-
A team may earn points on a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 POINTS being given if the answer is COMPLETELY RIGHT.
THERE ARE NO NEGATIVE POINTS IN THIS ROUND.
